Elephants have not only been revered by people of Thailand for many centuries, but an image of a Thai elephant was once a national symbol of the Kingdom of Thailand, prominently featured on the national flag for hundreds of years. been regarded as a highly respected character of the nation. In realizing that elephants are now one of the world’s most endangered species, this threat of extinction has prompted The Erawan Group Public Company Limited to take part in wildlife conservation activity, especially to save this national symbolic species. The Erawan Preserve Elephants debuted in 2005 and later adjust to staff activity to encourage employee and family including other stakeholders to volunteer to protect elephants since 2010. The activity is annually organized in collaboration with Elephant Reintroduction Foundation and Sub langka Sanctuary in Lopburi province ,Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi Province and Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary , Nakorn Nayok Province.
